Il bistrot si trova nel cuore del centro storico genovese, a due passi da Via Garibaldi e Piazza De Ferrari. La ristrutturazione e valorizzazione di questo piccolo immobile, immerso in una zona patrimonio dell’UNESCO, è stata richiesta da una realtà già ben radicata nel territorio: Macelli 44, azienda locale che alleva animali allo stato brado con metodo biologico.
Un recupero del patrimonio edilizio, ma al tempo stesso anche di interpretazione contemporanea, attraverso una scelta attenta e mirata dei materiali.
Lo abbiamo fatto ascoltando i racconti di chi era abituato, forse più delle nuove generazioni, a vedere nelle piazze e nelle botteghe la realizzazione della convivenza civica, del rispetto e della sicurezza sociale.

The bistro is located in the heart of Genoa's historic centre, a stone's throw from Via Garibaldi and Piazza De Ferrari. The renovation and enhancement of this small building, set in a UNESCO heritage area, was requested by a company already well established in the area: Macelli 44, a local company that raises animals in the wild using organic methods.
A recovery of the building heritage, but at the same time a contemporary interpretation, through a careful and targeted choice of materials.
The peculiarity of this restructuring lies in the historical research which, combined with the stories of the people who live in the neighbourhood and who have seen it change over time, has made it possible to carry out a real philological recovery, starting from the materials and the historical identity of the old city, more precisely of the "Macelli di Soziglia".
